【硬體】主機板內建Silicon Image 3112 SATA如何更新BIOS?

弟上網敗了一張GA-7NNXP
BIOS更新成F17,但3112 SATA BIOS仍是4.2.0.0,
於是想把它內建的Silicon Image 3112 SATA BIOS更新
弟在SILICON 抓了新的BIOS和工具.

不過它的工具有二種,UpdBIOS 和 UpdFlash,網上的說明文件如下:

The latest BIOS Flash Utilities (UpdBIOS and UpdFlash) can be downloaded from the links on the right. These utilities will work for both the SiI0680/0680A Ultra ATA133 controllers as well as the SiI3x1x SATA controllers.

The UPDBIOS utility is intended for OEM customers or users who want to customize their BIOS by adding custom logos, vendor IDs, product IDs, etc.

The UPDFLASH utility is intended for general end-users who just want to update their add-in card BIOS to the latest version.

BIOS的說明文件如下:
The latest BIOS files for the SiI3x12 can be downloaded from the links on the right. Both the RAID and IDE BIOS are contained in the zip file.

The rXXXX.bin file is the RAID BIOS and the bXXXX.bin file is the IDE BIOS.

The XXXX.bin file which has no letter in front of it is an abbreviated BIOS intended for use by OEMs for integration into system/motherboard BIOS. Do NOT flash this into an add-in card BIOS.


弟在這有問題想請教各位大大...
1.依說明文件,UpdBIOS是不是給主機板內建3112 SATA用的,
UpdFlash是給獨立的擴充卡用的呢?

2.給主機板用的,是不是應要用XXXX.bin來升呢?

3.若,弟的想法沒錯,弟在DOS下,打
updbios 4247.bin
會出現"此程式無法在dos下執行...這又是怎麼回事?
