請問有人知道CAM這個東西嗎？

ContentAssociateMemory
有人知道這種記憶體嗎？
說白了就是小弟在上數位矽智產概論的老師
講到CAM這種記憶體
就出作業要同學去查清楚，後天要找人問
不過小弟查了Google、Yahoo!、蕃薯滕都查不到也……
連去學校圖書館查也是沒有說
真的有這個記憶體嗎？

我看是不是你老師弄錯了..雖然我完全不懂,也不想懂...
但網路上可以到底下幾個字..

偏偏就是沒有"Content Associate Memory"這樣的三個字順序...

(CAM, or associative memory) A kind of storage device which includes comparison logic with each bit of storage. A data value is broadcast to all words of storage and compared with the values there. Words which match are flagged in some way. Subsequent operations can then work on flagged words, e.g. read them out one at a time or write to certain bit positions in all of them.

CAM 是 Computer Aided Manufacturing 的縮寫，譯為電腦輔助製造，也就是說利用電腦來控制所有原料的調配、結構的設計和外型的組合。在工業界常將電腦輔助設計及電腦輔助製造合稱為 CAD/CAM，強調兩者密不可分、相輔相成的關係。基本上來說，CAD 是先前的步驟，在完成設計之後，利用CAM 來製造成產品。
